I’m running a little late with the fishing report this week. The schedule has been intense to say the least. Post Emily, fishing was slow pretty much universally on this end of the Coast. We picked up a huge tide of gulf water and that "cleared" our water and brought with it a bunch of sharks and skippies. Through it all, we managed more than respectable boxes fishing over shell with Piggies (not to be confused with Pin Perch) in three different bay systems consisting of, ESB, SAB, and Mesquite. Things have pretty much gotten back to normal and the tides are way out and the water is back to "a fishier" off color look.
Today was quick fishing with Trout limits coming around 8:00am. That would have been a blessing during the last 5 days for sure. So, barring another bump in the road, we should continue strong into the cooler months of September and October.
Speaking of the cooler months, now is the time to be initiating plans for airboat Redfishing in Sept., Oct., and November. Give us a shout when you get a chance to cool off!
