San Antonio Bay Report 05/01/06

Fishing has been good in and around bumps in the weather. Saturday, 4/29/06 was a tough day with the Pacific front that hit early morning. Things re-bounded nicely Sunday with full limits of Trout to 20” from San Antonio Bay. We were throwing PCS (popping cork/shrimp) on shell reefs and scattered shell flats. The fish were schooling pretty well and feeding on the incoming tide. Shrimp are plentiful at bait camps. Croaker have been showing up but they don’t look very good at this time. May should be an awesome month as the Trout are full of eggs at this time and looking to spawn.
